Thermodynamic Analysis and Systematic Comparison of Solar-Heated Trigeneration Systems Based on ORC and Absorption Heat Pump

Modular and scalable distributed generation solutions as combined cooling, heating power (CCHP) systems are currently a promising solution for the simultaneous of electricity useful cooling large buildings or industries. In present work, solar-heated trigeneration approach based on different organic Rankine cycle (ORC) layouts single-effect H2O/LiBr absorption heat pump integrated bottoming is analysed from thermodynamic viewpoint. The main objective study to provide comprehensive guide selecting most suitable CCHP configuration system, following systematic investigation approach. Six alternative configurations single-pressure dual-pressure ORC layouts, such simple, recuperated superheated cycles, their combinations, seven fluids working medium proposed compared systematically. A field solar parabolic trough collectors (SPTCs) used source kept invariant. parametric analysis carried out design operating conditions. Several output parameters, energy exergy efficiency, net electrical ratios examined. reveals that efficient regenerative with toluene fluid, which average 25% 8% more than variants simple cycle, respectively. At nominal conditions, best performing variant presents 163.7% efficiency 12.3% while electricity, productions 56.2 kW, 223.0 kW 530.1
